Meet Pastor Beth Lyon
I am a native of Berks County, having grown up in Muhlenberg Township. I graduated from the College of William and Mary with a degree in English Literature. There I met my husband, Bob. We were married for 42 years until his death in 2022.
I have two adult children. Andrew is in the U.S. Coast Guard and lives with his wife in Washington state. Rebecca is a wildlife biologist for U.S. Fish and Wildlife in Wyoming, and her husband is a game warden.
My empty nest includes two rescue dogs, Shiloh and Dobby. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, gardening, and reading mystery novels.
I’m a graduate of Duke Divinity School where I received both my Master of Divinity and a Master of Theology in theology and ethics. I have served the Elon Community Church UCC, as both their Associate Pastor and Interim Pastor, and as pastor of St. John’s UCC in Pricetown and Glenside United Church of Christ.
After leaving a twenty-year pastorate in Glenside, I received Interim Ministry training through the Interim Ministry Network and served as Interim Pastor of St. Andrew’s United Church of Christ for 2 years.
I moved back to Berks County in early 2024, where my parents are still living, and to be in closer proximity to St. Paul’s where my pastorate began February 1.
