Special Events - Baptisms

Baby Baptism Ceremony

The sacrament of baptism is an outward and visible sign of the grace of God.

Inasmuch as the promise of the gospel is not only to us but also to our children, baptism with water and the Holy Spirit is the mark of their acceptance into the care of Christ’s church, the sign and seal of their participation in God’s forgiveness, and the beginning of their growth into full Christian faith and discipleship.

Who can be baptized? Anyone from an infant to an adult.

Do I need to be a member of St. Paul’s U.C.C.? Not necessarily. However, the baptism vows include promises to live and grow in faith. We feel this is best accomplished by regularly being part of a worshipping community.

When do baptisms happen? Baptisms happen during our worship services at 9 or 10:30 on Sunday mornings. Generally, we perform our baptisms on any Sunday except the first Sunday of the month.

Do I need Godparents for my child? No, you are not required to have Godparents, but if you select them we will include them in the service.

Whom do I contact to arrange a baptism? Reach the church office through phone or email (scroll to footer below). You'll be asked to complete a short Baptism Form as a part of the process.

I have more questions; whom can I call? Please call the church office at the number in the footer.
